The event

The Champion of Champions tournament is an exclusive £75,000 no limit Hold’em event that will take place in December 2008 (date and venue to be confirmed). Seats in the free to enter tournament will be restricted to winners of GUKPT events in 2008, including main events, side events and even online events. The number of starting chips each player receives will vary, depending on the size of the event won, with the most chips being awarded to the winner of the Grand Final. With every participant being a GUKPT champion, it promises to be a very competitive tournament and a high quality field. The winner will be crowned the GUKPT Champion of Champions and will be the envy of everyone on the British poker circuit.

How to qualify

Players can qualify for the Champion of Champions event in one of the following ways:

By winning any scheduled live GUKPT festival event with a buy in of £100 or greater (satellites not included).

By winning any scheduled event in July’s online GUKPT festival with a buy in of $100 or greater.

By winning the GUKPT Link event (details are yet to be announced).

By winning the GUKPT Grand Prix (details are yet to be announced).

By winning one of the monthly online GUKPT leagues taking place from January – November 2008 on Blue Square Poker (and skins of Blue Square Poker).

Starting Chips

The number of starting chips each player receives will vary, depending on the qualifying event won. Players who win more than one event will receive the aggregate number of chips from the events won, to a maximum of 25,000 chips per player.

Terms and Conditions

Players who qualify for this event will be offered a seat on a non-transferable basis.

The winners of seats will be the official winners of each qualifying event (i.e. not the player who receives the most prize money in a deal).

No cash alternative is available.

Any player who has qualified but subsequently has their membership suspended or withdrawn by the hosting casino or the entire group, will not be permitted to play in the event.

The GUKPT reserved the right to add additional methods of qualifying for the event.

The GUKPT reserves the right to withhold a seat from the winner of any qualifying event if the method of qualifying is deemed to be uncompetitive (e.g. deals that result in no further competitive play in the qualifying event).
